IOI History 
The idea of the AOI originally emerged from the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) that is organized annually since 1989.
It was the vision of the AAST to organize a national event similar to the festival of IOI. It is meant to bring the Arab countries and people together for more peace and understanding.
